Each of these projects allowed me to flex different parts of my skill set — from technical audio repair to full creative design and surround sound mixing. I approach every project with a cinematic mindset and a deep sensitivity to how sound emotionally shapes a story.
For Sintel, I handled the complete sound redesign, including foley, backgrounds, SFX, and a 5.1 surround sound mix. The goal was to bring new emotional depth and realism to the visuals through entirely fresh audio work. I used Pro Tools for the entire workflow and integrated iZotope RX for precise dialogue cleanup and audio restoration. To enhance the sonic textures, I made use of various plugin suites including Valhalla for spatial effects.
With The Borders Wolf, I was responsible for the entire sound design from scratch — from ambience creation and foley to final mixing and mastering. I used Ableton Live for the creative sound design and layering process, which gave me flexibility in manipulating sound elements in unique ways. For mixing and mastering, I transitioned into Pro Tools, taking advantage of its powerful automation and routing capabilities. Again, iZotope RX 10 played a key role in audio restoration and vocal cleanup, ensuring clarity and cleanliness in the final mix. I also utilized a selection of high-quality third-party plugins for creative processing and effects.
